Rancho las Cabras

For those who please of the cattle ranch and their traditions we invited you to one of the oldest properties dedicated for more of a century mainly to the cattle activity. Rancho Las Cabras, (the goats Ranch) is located in 13km. of the Escuinapa - Teacapan highway (tourist route).  Without a doubt this farm is and has been one of the best ones of Mexico and Sinaloa. Its origin goes back to the revolutionary period, time in which the great geographic extension of the island El Palmito del Verde    (45000 hectares) and its abundant green fields, allowed that in this geographic region of the south of Sinaloa, one of the best cattle ranches of Mexico bloomed, Under the leading of the rich landowner and cattle dealer Mr. Natividad Toledo. This farm was distinguished for being the best one of Sinaloa, to have the cattle of registry with the great cattle ranch but, honoring in the cattle of Zebu in its varieties: gyr, Nelore, brahaman, guzerat and indobrasil (original races of India) mattered to Brazil at the beginning of the last century and in 1920 mattered from Brazil to Mexico.
The iron to shoe the cattle, dates from 1896 and this iron is the figure of a scorpion, reason why the same one has become an icon that represents the pride of the cattle tradition and the quality of products.
This Ranch have been working for more of a century, has belonged to Don Natividad Toledo, later to the family Toledo Contreras, soon to the Coppel family and in 1977  is bought to these last ones by the loved son of Escuinapa Antonio “the Tiger” Toledo , son of the ancestral owner Natividad Toledo.
At the moment this Ranch is dedicated to the production of the race to droughmaster, whose foot of production, was concerned of Australia directly by  Rancho las Cabras, These cattle characterizes itself for being a race of double intention (meat and milk). The bovine females raise yearling calves of good raised and vigorous, in addition to their red characteristic color retinto (Bermejo) and their calm character has allowed that this race the this commercializing itself from Rancho las Cabras to the states of: Nayarit, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco and Durango.

At the moment the helmet of the old property Las Cabras subsists, where it is possible to be appreciated by the visitors the furniture, mounts, spurs and without number of objects that tell the history  of this farm and its respective owners, mainly of the family Toledo.
